Front cover
This isn't as good quality as i would like because i had to take a picture of the screen due to the fact that you can't download word items onto blogger. Nonetheless this gives you a rough idea of my layout and design. I like this design because the picture is very welcoming and the the stipe of colour gives it more charater and makes it more interesting. Im not sure about the changing colours of the text but this was the only way i could anable the reader to be able to read it.
Unfortunately i couldn't do the mast head design i originally intended because it wouldn't have fit on the page without it looking crowded and also a slogan would also make it look like there was too much text. The function of short sell lines is to make the reader look at the cover and decide the want to look inside as well. My magazine may have too much text on the front, making it less 'short and sweet' and possibly putting the reader off reading it before they even open it. This isn't very conventional as most magazines have several short descriptions whereas i only have three longer content descriptions. Also i created this using Paint and Word rather than Photoshop, so for m music magazine i will need to develop a wider understanding of that program.
