Production 1 & 2

Photoshoots: It is likely that i will use some of the photos that I have previously taken, however i intend to get soem shots of different genres aswell - the main one intended was classical and because i play the keyboard myself that will allow me to get some live shots of someone actually playing. I have no set locations or lighting ect because this will represent how music doesn't need to be planned it just needs to look good at the time.

Twilight has been to thank for more bad than good, but in the case of Paramore, they’ve helped more than hurt. While the lot of the teenage populace runs frantic with “Team Jacob” and “Team Edward” propaganda, parents and the general sane media hordes fear for their lives on any night an installment to the series premieres on the big screen or on the bookshelves. For Paramore, though, Twilight launched a roller coaster ride for the Tennessee youngsters, a ride that would lead the firecracker lead singer Hayley Williams to friendships with the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry and her loyal band mates (lead guitarist Josh Farro, drummer Zac Farro, guitarist Taylor York, bassist Jeremy Davis) to idols for the world’s female youth. So, without a doubt in Honda’s corporal minds, Paramore was commissioned to front the 2010 summer Honda Civic tour backed by ambiguous Swedish indie-pop group Kadawatha, power pop-punk legends New Found Glory, and radio friendly duo Tegan & Sara. And looking at the layout and advertisement plaguing the Oakdale Theatre on July 27, it seemed as though Honda pumped a lot of money into the deal.

Honesty, blunt, conversational/informal - polite but expressing personal opinion - Mine will vary with the genre but will remain polite in a way that tells people my opinion without insulting everybodies own opinions.

Distribution

http://www.indiego.at/ - The end photos called 'Daisy and Monty' and the front cover

Although this is a fashion magazine as well as a music magazine, the style of these photos are the kind of image I was looking for to be in my magazine, so I will use these as a base for my own ideas. On word I accidently highlighted one of the photos. Although I didn’t mean to do it, it inspired me to maybe use this idea of positive and negative in my magazine, therefore it could be representing the contrast of genres.

Content

Looking back over my contents and front cover i realized that i have no house style throughout. At a stretch i could say that there is a theme of blue but other than that the fonts are different and the styles are opposite.
I think that my design does communicate what i wanted because it has an element of fun but still has a sophisticated tone linking to education.

Magazine Inspired

Paramore is the kind of music genre i want on my magazine cover because they don't just stick to one genre. They have written music that can be classed as Rock, Pop, and even slower, more calming music that is a genre all of it's own. Because my mag is a mixture of everything i think this will represent this well.
Also, the images that they have are a range of attitude, fun, calm and, perhaps like this one, everything. Although none of them are smiling having Hayley Williams at the front highlights her status, which could be seen as fun because of the controversal idea of it. Also, her position and hand gesture emphasizes attitude and because they are all looking directly at the camera with a neutral expression it emits a calm atmosphere but with the attitude hidden underneath. This is the kind of photo i am going to try and capture.
I also like how the writing instantly grabs your attention without drawing focus away from the image. By having the band name in a bright pink it allows the reader to instantly know what to expect from the mag and the bright colours all contrast to each other. I like this idea because for me it represents several different genres that all contrast to each other (for example classical and heavy metal) yet everyone of them are liked for different reasons. In the photos i have already taken i have done this my making my artist wear odd shoes with various contrasting items such as a beach ball and an army hat.
This kind of cover may appeal to audiences because although Paramore is the main attraction it does tell you what other things to expect to find inside. This kind of mag would appeal to a range of audiences because the bands are relatively well known and Paramore has become popular to a wide range of people making the mag attractive to more.  This is the kind of style and form that i want to interpret into my magazine because it appeals to more people and represents my style of magazine.

The layout of this content page is the style that i intend to use in my magazine as the columns are a requirement but also the uniformity mixed with the large photo create the contrast of the genres in the mag.

As i haven't decided what i am writing my double page spread on i don't know what i am basing it on in the sense on style and form
